3D Modelling / Rendering

3D modeling is the process of developing a mathematical representation of any surface of an object (either inanimate or living) in three dimensions via specialized software. The product is termed a 3D model. Someone who works with 3D models could also be referred to as a 3D artist. The model also can be physically created using 3D printing devices.

Models can be created automatically or manually. The manual modeling process of preparing geometric data for 3D computer graphics is similar to plastic arts like sculpting.

Where to use 3D models?

Computer animated films industry uses 3D models for creation of animated characters and objects.
3D models are the essential objects in video games environment.
Medical industry often uses detailed 3D models of human organs.
3D models of chemical compounds are wildly utilized in the science sector.
Architects and real estate builders often use 3D to visualize architectural objects.
Engineers use 3D models for presentation of latest inventions.
